The Team (STORY)

Our Team GVC 07-15 first started out with 3 schools in the team which are:-

1. Malaysia
2. United States
3. Uzbekistan

During the first 2 weeks, the Malaysia and United States team introduced themselves and discussed about topics which all of us have great interest with. Sadly, Uzbekistan has not appeared and so we thought maybe they are facing some problems. What a relief that after the 2 weeks, their teacher , Azizbek made the first post and explained that their school has no internet access and they had to go to a Cyber Cafe/ Internet Cafe to make contact with us. He also said he hoped that we can understand their situation and give them a chance. We said that we are fine with that as long they can manage to get their work done.

After a lot of discussion, We all unanimously decided that our topic would be 'CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY'. We started off by listing down the subtopics which are related with our main topic and we divided the tasks among each other so that each of us will have something to do. So we went on gathering information and pictures regarding our topic. After a couple of weeks, we started to post up the results of our research. But problems arises as Uzbekistan have not posted any results up yet.

As time flies pass, Uzbekistan still has not posted up anything and therefore we were prepared for the worst that is Uzbekistan has left the team. Well, we told ourselves that we will give them 2 weeks because we were hoping that maybe they were facing some problems with the internet access which was stated earlier. We kept on sending messages, e-mails and we even tried calling them but none of them produced any results. We therefore decided that we should not waste our time and effort anymore on Uzbekistan and we should move on as a 2-School Team.

There was a lot of problems as soon as Uzbekistan left because we had to change a lot of things concerning all 3 teams. A good example is the flash introduction. We actually completed the flash quite early and now we had to change the whole flash because we had to remove Uzbekistan out of the flash. After all these problems, things started to flow smoothly as we continue to gather information and pictures regarding our topic. Before we realised it, the deadline was just around the corner and we had too much information and very little amount of pictures. The main problem was at the computer games section because it is not possible to buy every single game and take screenshots of them. That would cost way too much. So we just took whatever screenshots we can take and the others we hunted for them on the internet. This process of hunting for pictures was really worthwhile because we have learned so much about the license which previously none of us knew about. We had to be extra careful as we did not want to violate any copyright.

After gathering all the information and pictures, we started to design the website together. Both Malaysia and the United States team came up with different layouts and designs. We then evaluated each others design and then we agreed unanimously that the layout of the Malaysia team was better. So we started to input the information into the website together and before we realise it, there was 3 weeks before the deadline. Wow, time really does flies. The United States team then did the last minute decoration for the website and here I am typing this story based o what I remembered. Well thats all I can say for this whole 6 months. Thank you for spending your time reading this.

Anyway, Lets move on, Check out this website which both Malaysia and United States team collaborated to design.

Last but not least, all I can say is ENJOY YOURSELVES.

Everything that is on the menu is all either Top Rated Or Most Used. We did our own survey in our school and also on the internet.Thats all that we came up with. Enjoy!
